When we pulled into our house the first day back in August one of the neighbor kids had put a sign "Lucas's welcome to your new home" on our garage. 1/2 hour later he was knocking on our door to ask the girls to come out and play. Soon the whole block exploded with kids. Katherine and Anna haven't had a free moment to think back and miss IL. They also love school and their teachers.
Matthew also very much enjoys Darcy school. Sandy and I are impressed with the attention he receives and the progress he has made at Darcy. We are very pleased with them.
Sandy has also adapted well. We have made friends with several of our neighbors. It seems like every weekend someone is having a family campfire. A couple of weekends ago Cheshire supported a National Downs Syndrome walk. Of course we attended as a family, however a few of the neighbors and their families also attended. This heart felt show of support was very special to Sandy and I.
As you now the school and the neighborhood were our top two criteria in selecting our new home. We couldn't have made a better choice. Thank you for guiding us towards such an outstanding situation.
Oh ya, the fish are getting used to their new owners. They have all survived and have a few new swim mates.
